About us
Safe, Relaxed & Homely
Our resident’s live in a safe, relaxed and homely environment which they call home. This gives them the confidence to engage in the improvement and conservation of their own well-being.
Personalised Care
We always encourage our residents (and where appropriate, their family and friends) to engage with their care planning, to ensure that we cater to their personal needs. These needs include medical/therapeutic, personal care, cultural, psychological, physiological, social and spiritual.
Independence, Privacy, Dignity & Rights
We believe in sustaining a supportive yet un-restrictive environment which enables confident autonomous decision making and calculated risk-taking. We’re dedicated to protect and respect all our resident’s personal information.
We allocate space, time and persons to discuss confidential matters in confidence. By respecting choices and preferences we are fostering and creating opportunities for, individual expression. This helps us understand each of our resident’s needs so we can accommodate to one’s circumstances. It’s our duty to preserve freedom of expression, participation and autonomy.
We continually practice; safety, consent and confidentiality to stimulate entitlement and equality.

Jennifer. L
CO-FOUNDER
Jennifer begun taking residents into her home back in 1983. A few years later and she and her husband Peter bought No.3 Ashfield and moved all their residents to their new home.
Around the same time, Jennifer founded the Leeds Care Association to enable independent care home in the Leeds area to share good practice and training facilities.
Not soon after, they built the new wing extension onto the existing victorian building, including a car park to encourage relatives to come see their loved one’s.

Karen. D
CLINICAL DIRECTOR
Karen (daughter of Jennifer. L), was helping to care for her parent’s residents from a young age.
This passion for caring continued into adulthood as Karen qualified as a Registered Nurse and brought her new found skills and knowledge to Ashfield.
Not soon after did Karen begin to establish herself as a leader and took up the Deputy Manager role.
As Jennifer. L stepped back from the home, Karen was always there to step up. After Deputy Manager, she was the Registered Manager and only very recently stepped back into just a Directors role as passes on the flame to our newly promoted Registered Manager (Kat. F).

Kat. F
REGISTERED MANAGER
Kat started her caring career as an apprentice Care Assistant for us back in 2010. From the get go Kat was always eager to learn and always put our resident’s well-being first.
At every opportunity, Kat was there ready and willing to take on that extra responsibility and step into another role could make more of a difference to our residents.
After passing her Nursing Associate qualification as an Assistant Manager, she showed that she now had the appropriate skills to become a Registered Manager.
