  • Plan and deliver activities to our residents.

  • Plan and deliver seasonal events for our resident’s, employees and local community.

Your Duties

    • Understand the physiological, psychological, and sociological needs of our residents.

      • Plan and deliver sessions to groups and individuals that meet the needs above discreetly (e.g., assisting one of our residents with one of their sporting hobbies to encourage exercise).

        • Sessions should be planned ahead for the quarter and relevant to the season and compliment any events.

    • Plan and host seasonal events for our residents, employees, and the local community. Per year;

      • 4x Parities = Residents + staff on/off duty + Friends and relatives + wider community – are welcome. Including; themed decorations, food van/buffet and entertainment provided.

      • 4x Special days = Residents + staff on duty + Friends and relatives – are welcome. Including; themed decorations and entertainment provided.

      • 4x Parities = Residents + staff on duty + Friends and relatives – are welcome. Including; themed decorations.

      • Birthdays = Card signed by staff + balloons/flowers + cake + invite friends/relatives for lunch/tea.

    • Assist with the induction of new starters in accordance with Ashfield Nursing Home’s policy.

    • Be polite and respectful in communication with staff, residents, or external visitors.

    • Develop effective working relationships with other employees within the service.

    • Work in cooperation with members of the multi-disciplinary teams to maximise opportunities for people in the service.

    • Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals one supports.

    • Attend all statutory training, meetings and any others as directed by a manager.

    • Knowledge of, and work within, the Fundamental Standards.

    • Understand the regulatory framework that governs the service, including the role of CQC and their requirements.

    • Commit to achieving the relevant qualifications with the role.

    • Understand and follow all policies and procedures relevant to the role.

    • Understand and follow and relevant risk assessments.

    • Be open to learning opportunities.
